New Local Authority External Mains Connections

To ensure there is no detriment to public health, prior to the connecting of a new mains water supply pipe by the local water authority, a chlorination of the newly installed services is required.

We carry out injection chlorination services of the new mains water pipe installation, to the specific requirements of the water undertaker for the geographical location.

We can provide full certification and supporting sample analysis (by an independent UKAS accredited laboratory) for presentation to the relevant authorities.

New and Existing Pipework

Disinfection is the process of using an appropriate chemical to treat the water system.  This hygiene process effectively restores the cleanliness of the water system, to protect users from any contaminants which may be detrimental to their health.

Examples include:

  • New buildings or installations
  • Extensions, additions or alterations
  • Adverse microbiological sample results
  • Suspected system contamination
  • Low usage systems
  • Reinstated mothballed buildings

Cold Water Storage Tanks

Over time, cold water storage tanks may accumulate dirt, sediment and biofilms that affect the quality of the supply.  Such contaminants provide a nutrient source for bacteria, such as eColi and legionella.

Whether small or large volume, existing plant or new installations, we are able to provide a service to improve the quality of stored water, and to assist in complete control of any issues such as legionella or potable water contamination.

All our employees are City & Guilds trained, and adhere to strict health and safety practices, such as confined space working.
